I'm not a rock star

Cupcake: Mommy, you look good.

Me, looking down at my sweats: Why do I look good?

Cupcake: Because you’re stylish.

Me: Oh, thank you. I’m stylish?

Cupcake: Yeah, but you’re not a rock star. You’re just mommy. But you’re stylish.

I just really wanted to record that. The things that come out of her mouth somtimes… three and a half is a wonderful and terrible age, all at the same time.. but this was wonderful.

Ha! I’d gladly take the compliment!
My oldest told me I have a cute butt. I don’t, but am happy to accept the kind words!

I love hearing things like this – SO freaking funny what comes out of their mouths sometimes!

But remember, you ARE a rock star. ;-)

Heh, I love kids. Their brains rock, and the things that pop out of their mouths…priceless.

    So cute!

That is one of my favorite things about my daughter. My boys never say stuff like that. I’ll never forget when she was two and we were playing “who’s that pretty girl” in the mirror. I was holding her up and looking at her beautiful little face, saying “look at that pretty girl! WHO is that pretty girl?!” And smiling, she looked at me in the mirror and exclaimed, “it’s Mommy!” I’ll NEVER stop telling that one.
